Emily Holmes Design was founded in 2003 by Emily Holmes. A professional graphic and web designer, Emily visited the Buyer's Market of American Craft in Philadelphia during the summer of 2002. There, she discovered the amazing world of American Craft - a diverse, creative field that celebrates the artistry and craftsmanship of products that are still hand made by individual artists working in their studios.
In the three years since then, Emily has become known for her line of functional, colorful stained glass gifts that reflect her graphic design background. The interesting designs and unusual color combinations have found success in stores throughout the country.
Opened in late 2006, this online store allows Emily to sell her one-of-a-kind and personalized designs, as well as other items that are not available through stores. Additionally, it occasionally features artwork by her sister (Amy Holmes), her mother (Suzzette Holmes) and other craftspeople whose work Emily treasures and enjoys. By launching this online store, we hope to allow our customers and friends to shop in a meaningful way that helps support working artists - both here and in other parts of the world.
